Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Thursday that it had found evidence confirming that the terrorists who carried out the attack at the “Crokos” complex received funding from Ukrainian nationalists.
A statement published on the Telegram channel of the investigative committee read: “The preliminary results of the investigation fully confirm the planned nature of the terrorist actions, the careful preparation and financial support of the crime organizers, and as a result of working with the arrested terrorists, investigating the technical devices seized in their possession and analyzing information regarding financial transactions, evidence was obtained confirming their association with Ukrainian nationalists.”
The Investigative Committee confirmed the data that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack received large sums of money and cryptocurrencies from Ukraine.
Investigators have been able to arrest another suspect involved in financing the terrorist attack plot and will ask the court to arrest him.
The director of the Russian Federal Security Service, Alexander Bortnikov, confirmed on Tuesday that the preliminary information reported by the detainees in the case of the terrorist attack on “Crocos” confirms the existence of the Ukrainian trace.
The terrorist attack on the Crocus City complex hall took place on the evening of Friday, March 22. Several men in camouflage clothes stormed the building and opened fire on those present, after which several explosions were heard, and a fire broke out. According to the latest data published by the Commission of Inquiry, 143 people were victims of the terrorist attack.
