The Russian army seized control of the town of Vodyane on the Avdiivka axis yesterday, Friday, located approximately five kilometers from the city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that military units liberated the town of Vodyane in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as taking control of more strategic positions.
Additionally, it was mentioned that Russian forces used airstrikes, artillery fire, and heavy flamethrower systems to target the human force and equipment of six Ukrainian army divisions.
Furthermore, the Russian Ministry of Defense indicated that its forces repelled 39 counterattacks by Ukrainian forces in areas such as Semenivka, Novhorodske, Pervomaiske, Tonenka, Umanskoye, and Perfomaiskoye in Donetsk.
In a related development, Sergei Lipydov, the secret operations coordinator in Nikolayev province, stated that Russian forces shelled the airport of the Ukrainian city of Starokonstantinov in Khmelnytskyi province, where it was being prepared to receive F-16 fighter jets.
