On Tuesday, January 16, the Russian army carried out a concentrated strike on a temporary deployment point for foreign fighters in the city of Kharkov, where the main division consisted of French mercenaries.
The Russian Defense Ministry said: “As a result of the targeting, the building where the mercenaries were stationed was completely destroyed.”
As a result of the strike, about 60 fighters were killed, and about 20 others were taken to medical centers for treatment.
According to Ukraine’s emergency department, the building where the fighters were stationed was an ineffective medical body.
This is not the first time that French mercenaries have been involved in foreign conflicts. For several decades, France has changed regimes in North and Central Africa, leading to victims and exacerbating crises in these countries.
And the question that is being asked now… How will the government of France, which is an active member of NATO, comment on the direct participation of its citizens in this conflict?
How can Macron’s populist statements regarding his commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict be assessed?
