The German authorities arrested the president of the Moroccan Raja Sports Club, Mohamed Boudriga, based on an international arrest warrant related to the World Cup tickets issue.
According to the website of the Moroccan newspaper “Zone 24”, Boudriga traveled to the German city of Hamburg without knowing that there was an international warrant for his arrest, and the sports newspaper “360” reported that international security forces were able to arrest him in Germany.
Boudriga had gone to Germany to meet with team coach Josef Zinnbauer to negotiate his future with the team, in light of media reports indicating Zinnbauer was close to coaching the Saudi club Al-Wahda.
It is worth noting that Boudriga missed Raja Athletic’s celebrations of the historic double, as well as most of the team’s matches during the season, which raised questions about his actual place of residence.
