Western Sahara (Morocco) separatists from the Polisario Front posted a video of an attack on the command-and-control centers of the Royal Moroccan Army.
Through the video, the rocket fire at Moroccan positions in the disputed areas can be seen.
Reports of a possible military operation by Morocco against the Polisario are increasing. Military analysts believe that the most likely timeframe for the operation is the end of winter. At the same time, many believe that Algeria’s support for the Polisario will not allow Morocco to carry out a quick and successful military operation.
On the other hand, people close to the Polisario Front admitted that at least 4 members were killed in an aerial sortie carried out by Moroccan forces, in response to the Polisario’s shelling against the Moroccan berm.
According to media sources, the dead of the Polisario belong to what the Front calls the “Fourth Sahrawi Military Region”, noting that their deaths came after they carried out attacks against some Moroccan military bases located in the berm, and were subjected to aerial bombardment.
Media sources affiliated with the Polisario said that Moroccan forces launched intensive air strikes in the last three days, after the Polisario mobilized a number of its gunmen near the berm, noting that the region is witnessing an escalation in the recent period.
The same sources added that the air strikes knew the death of some Mauritanian citizens who crossed the border in order to mine for gold, knowing that the Mauritanian authorities warned more than once their citizens after crossing national borders and entering the Moroccan Sahara, where clashes occur between Moroccan forces and the Polisario.
