Egyptian cinema lost one of its brightest stars, the artist Ahmed Farhat, who died at the age of 74 after suffering from illness in a Cairo hospital.
Farhat appeared for the first time as a child in the world of cinema, and he was known for his wit and unique talent, which made him popular among his colleagues and audiences.
His artistic career began at an early age, where he participated in several prominent films with major stars such as Abdel Halim Hafez in “Love Street,” and appeared alongside Hind Rostom, Omar Sharif and Souad Hosni in “Rumor of Love.”
He also had an influential role in the movie “The Secret of the Invisibility Cap,” which marked a turning point in his artistic career and demonstrated his ability to embody the main roles with complete perfection.
Days before his death, Farhat suffered a sudden stroke, which led to him spending three days in intensive care before he died.
In his previous statements, he emphasized the love of the audience and directors for him, noting that the roles came to him without effort, thanks to his attractive personality and quick wit.
Ahmed Farahat, born on July 23, 1950, was called “the most famous child in Egyptian cinema,” and throughout his artistic career he presented more than 100 films and plays.
