The parliamentary friendship group between Algeria and Iran meets with the Iranian Foreign Minister in Tehran

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian received in Tehran members of the Algeria-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran, and the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his satisfaction with the dynamism of bilateral relations, praising the great role played by the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, and the parliament as a whole in support of the just Palestinian cause, recalling Iran’s firm position on this issue.

Moussa Kherfi, head of the Algeria-Iran Friendship Parliamentary Group, expressed his condolences over the terrorist explosion in Kerman province, reiterating Algeria’s solidarity with the Iranian people in this incident.

Addressing bilateral relations between the two countries, Kharfi praised the positive and serious trend these relations have taken recently, citing Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s talks with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Turning to the Palestinian issue, the spokesman recalled that it is a pivotal issue for Algeria, saying that victory will inevitably be the ally of the Palestinian people.
