The Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas and Chairman of the Libyan-Russian Joint Committee, Mohamed Aoun, invited Russian companies to submit their bids to obtain plots of Libyan territory and start oil and gas exploration operations.
Aoun stressed in press statements that: “The National Oil Corporation in Libya is working on a public tender in front of all international companies, including Russian companies, to contribute to the exploration of oil and gas in the rest of the unexplored Libyan territory, whether on land or sea.”
“I invite Russian companies to submit their offers to obtain plots of Libyan territory and start oil and gas exploration,” Aoun said.
“We hope that Russia will obtain oil and gas discoveries in Libya and return to work again in Libyan territory,” Aoun said.
Aoun revealed that he will meet soon with Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov in Algeria next week and said: “I will call on the Russian energy minister to return Russian companies specialized in the field of energy, as well as Russian companies specialized in other fields because Russia has high technologies in the oil sector.”
