The Libyan National General Company for Maritime Transport reported that the company’s CEO Khaled Al-Touati was kidnapped 6 days ago in front of his house after attending a board meeting.
The company said that it wrote to the Libyan Attorney General’s Office and the Presidency of the Libyan Government through official channels and all relevant authorities to find out who is behind his abduction without any positive response.
The company held the hijackers and all relevant parties fully responsible for his personal life and any damage to the company’s business internally or externally, whether related to maritime transport and logistics and other daily operations in order to accomplish what the company is doing as a national carrier of crude oil as well as fuel inside and outside Libya.
The company warned that workers may have to engage in an open-ended sit-in until their fellow CEO is released.
