The Minister of Social Affairs in the Libyan government, Mabrouk Mohamed Ghaith, discussed at the ministry’s headquarters with members of the committee concerned with the event, preparations for the Murzuq Heritage Festival, which will be held under the supervision of the National Council for Women during the month of February.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, including Saleh Ikrim, Director of the Branches Department, and Abdul Hafeez Al-Faidi, Director of the Family Development Department.

The ministry said in a statement that the minister welcomed the festival’s preparatory committee and its subcommittees and expressed his readiness to extend a helping hand and provide logistical support for the festival.

He also stressed the need to solve all difficulties related to coordination and communication between the organizers of the festival and the South as a whole and Murzuq in particular.

A representative of the Ministry was also assigned to communicate continuously between the two sides to facilitate work to show the festival in a manner worthy of Libya and its ancient heritage.
