The Libyan club Al-Suwaihli is close to submitting a huge offer to sign Amr Al-Soulia, the Egyptian Al-Ahly midfield star, according to what was revealed by the winwin website based on informed sources.
The annexation offer is the largest in the history of the Libyan Premier League, and comes in light of increasing interest from other clubs in the Libyan League, such as Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Ittihad.
Al-Suliya, 34 years old, who is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program due to a strained calf injury, has not yet reached an agreement with Al-Ahly to renew his contract, which expires with Al-Ahly at the end of the current season 2023-24.
It is expected that the issue of Al-Soulia’s contract will be resolved after the Pyramids match at the top of the 31st round of the Egyptian League competitions, as Al-Ahly is expected to make its final offer to the player to renew his contract for one season with a promise to extend it for another season if his participation rate exceeds 50% of the matches.
In the event that an agreement is not reached, it seems that Al-Suwaihli stands in a strong position to include Al-Sulayya, as the offer submitted by the Libyan club is considered an opportunity for the player to achieve a first-class salary and secure his financial future in his final stages as a football player.
Al-Soulia plays as a defensive midfielder, and began his football career with the Egyptian club, Al-Ismaili, where he rose through the youth teams until he reached the first team. He performed distinguishably, making him the focus of attention of many big clubs, and in 2016 he moved to the Egyptian club, Al-Ahly.
Al-Soulia is distinguished by his strong defensive abilities, in addition to his passing and ball control skills, and his ability to score goals from long distances, making him a multi-role player in the midfield.
