The Libyan national basketball team achieved a great achievement by qualifying for the group stage of the African qualifiers for the 2025 African Championship, after beating Morocco 71-63 in the second leg of the preliminary round that brought them together on Tuesday evening at the Mzali Hall in the Tunisian city of Monastir.
With this precious victory, the Libyan national team snatched the card to qualify deservedly and deservedly to the second round of the qualifiers after excelling on aggregate, following a draw (75-75) in the first leg, which was held last Sunday also in Tunisia.
With this qualification, the Libyan national team officially joined Group B in the knockout group stage qualifying for the finals of the tournament in the African continent.
Group B in addition to Libya includes Cape Verde, Nigeria and Uganda, and the group stage will be played at the end of February and extends until February 2025, through which the top three finishers in the group qualify for the finals of the African Championship to be hosted by Rwanda in 2025.
