Today in the Russian capital, Moscow, the activities of the ninth international conference “Russia and China: Cooperation in a New Era” were launched, which brings together senior officials and experts from both countries.
The conference will be held over the course of May 30 and 31 and aims to enhance strategic cooperation between Russia and China.
The event is organized by the Russian International Affairs Council and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the conference has proven itself as an effective and pioneering platform to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations and find solutions to international issues, especially in light of the increasing global turmoil.
The conference will focus on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Russia and China, and experts from the two countries will exchange views on the future of the Greater Eurasian Partnership and promising areas of integration between the Eurasian Economic Community and the “One Belt, One Road” initiative.
The conference comes at a time when Russia and China celebrate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed, during his recent visit to China, that “relations between the two countries are a model of how to build relations between neighboring countries.”
For his part, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that Moscow and Beijing “have shown others an example of building a new type of relations between countries and relations between major neighbors.”
