Algeria plans to host Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday, where he will lead a high-level delegation to the seventh meeting of the leaders of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, according to the Iranian news agency Mehr.
Iranian Assistant Oil Minister for International and Trade Affairs Ahmad Assadzadeh confirmed that Raisi will deliver a speech during the meeting, where he will present a statement of Iran’s positions on the strategies and policies of the association.
Among the expected topics in the statement are strengthening cooperation and participation in the development of natural gas and focusing on the role of these clean fuels in providing energy security.
Asadzadeh explained that the meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the energy industry, especially in the field of natural gas, with a focus on promoting investment in this vital sector.
