The international forum “The Algerian Revolution in its African Dimension” was held on Tuesday in the Algiers capital, under the title “Algeria and Africa: A Shared Memory, One Destiny, and a Promising Future.”

A number of prominent African figures participated in the forum, including the grandson of the late South African leader Nelson Mandela, Zwelifele Mandela, and the daughter of Ghanaian leader Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah.

The participants stressed the need to unite African ranks in support of the Palestinian people, who are being subjected to genocide by Israel amid international silence.

In his speech during the opening of the forum, Algeria’s Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Defenders, Eid Rabeka, stressed the importance of shared human values ​​between Africa and Palestine, recalling the continent’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, praised the great role played by Algeria in supporting the revolutions of Africa and its peoples, and thanked Algeria for its continued support for Palestine since the era of the late President Houari Boumediene.

In turn, Zwelifele Mandela stressed the importance of African unity to confront challenges, achieve development and decolonization.

Mandela called on the free people of the world and Africa to support Palestine and sever relations with Israel, pointing out the suffering of the Palestinians and stressing the need for continued resistance.

Mandela reminded African countries of their suffering with colonialism, demanding that they not support Israeli colonialism, stressing that what is happening in Palestine is a crime against humanity that requires the support of the international community.

Mandela stressed that support for the Palestinian cause must be continuous, pointing out the need to confront the crimes of the Israeli occupation by all possible means, and called on African and Islamic countries to support the Palestinian resistance in its jihad against the occupation.

Mandela praised the role played by Yemen in supporting Palestine, stressing the solid determination to confront the forces of evil and injustice.

For her part, Samia Nkrumah stressed the importance of African unity to build a bright future, praising Algeria’s role in achieving unity and sacrificing for freedom.

The forum concluded by honoring a number of prominent African figures in recognition of their contributions to the struggle for freedom and African unity, including Zwelifele Mandela, Samia Nkrumah, and the son of the leader of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guy Patrice Lulumba.
