The French frigate “FREMM Alsace” left for France after being forced to withdraw from the Red Sea, following the increased military operations of the Houthis and their targeting of military ships in the region.

The French newspaper “Le Figaro” quoted the frigate commander’s statements about security threats, especially after the increasing attacks using drones and ballistic missiles.

The United States also announced the withdrawal of the aircraft carrier “USS Eisenhower” from the Red Sea, after similar challenges.

Capt. Marvin Scott, commander of the warplane squadron, said intercepting Yemeni attacks had become the biggest threat, stressing the difficulties faced by US forces in responding to such attacks.

It is noteworthy that the attacks of the Yemeni Houthi forces in the Red Sea were aimed at pressuring Israel and its backers to stop the war on the Gaza Strip.
