The top five highest-paid athletes have earned a combined $1.35 billion at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Spanish golfer Jon Rahm tops the list with $210 million in earnings, mostly from salaries and endorsements.

American basketball player LeBron James is next with $127.7 million, followed by fellow American basketball player Stephen Curry with $101.9 million, and Greek basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo is fourth with $100.8 million.

American basketball player Kevin Durant is fifth with $89.7 million, a figure that reflects the Olympics’ dramatic shift from amateur to highly professional competition.

“Forbes” magazine has released its new ranking of the highest-paid athletes in the world, with Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of the Saudi Al-Nasr club, taking first place with revenues of $260 million, $200 million of which comes from his football contract with the club, while Frenchman Kylian Mbappe came in sixth place on the list.
