The General Council of Culture in Benghazi celebrated the opening of the exhibition “I am Libya… I am history.”

Shifa Salem, a member of the committee supervising the Libyan History Exhibition, said that various pieces of art were presented that embody the historical stages that Libya went through from history to the modern era.

The exhibition embodied the historical monuments found in several Libyan regions, including the cities of Sabratha, Leptis, Shahat and other cities, in addition to art pieces that express the Greek, Phoenician, Roman and Byzantine periods, through the period of Islamic civilization and up to the modern period.
