The European Union Mission to Libya has launched a program to rehabilitate the Ghadames border crossing in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior of the Libyan Government of National Unity.
The mission announced on its official page on Tuesday that the program comes within the framework of joint efforts to support rights-based border management, with the aim of combating cross-border crime and irregular migration.
She explained that the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will implement this initiative within the European Union’s flagship program “SIBMMIL” dedicated to supporting integrated border and migration management in Libya.
