Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi paid a visit to the Pharaohs’ training on Saturday, where training is taking place at the Olympic City Stadium in the New Administrative Capital.

Video footage showed the warm meeting between the Egyptian president and his country’s players, where he exchanged talks with them and responded to their request to take souvenir photos.

The captain of the “Pharaohs” Mohamed Salah presented the national team shirt to Sisi in a gesture of national pride.

In his speech to the players, the Egyptian president urged to exert maximum effort during the tournament in order to delight the Egyptian fans.

He pointed out that the Egyptian team “carries a great responsibility and that success can only come with dedication and continuous improvement.”

Sisi expressed his optimism and wishes for the team to achieve the title.

It is noteworthy that the “Pharaohs”, which is considered the most winning African Cup of Nations title seven times, competes in Group B along with the teams of Cape Verde, Ghana and Mozambique, and seeks to achieve success and provide a distinguished performance in the continental tournament scheduled to start in Ivory Coast next week.
