On Monday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry celebrated the 102nd anniversary of the Egyptian Diplomacy Day in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, a number of ministers, ambassadors, and the media.
In his speech during the ceremony in Cairo, the Foreign Minister stressed the importance of this occasion, which represents a rich history in the march of Egyptian diplomacy, as this day coincides with the declaration of Egypt’s independence in 1922 and the end of foreign protection.
Shoukry praised the role of Egyptian diplomacy throughout the ages in protecting the country’s interests and enhancing its national security, saluting, and appreciating all those who implemented Egypt’s foreign policy from the sons of this ancient institution throughout the ages.
The Minister referred to the current challenges facing the world, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and regional and international tensions, and stressed the need for Egyptian diplomacy to remain the cornerstone in dealing with these challenges in an innovative and effective manner.
