Egyptian Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki, commander of operations of the Libyan Land Forces, has awarded Major General Saddam Haftar a doctorate in military science from the Egyptian Military Academy.
Zaki said, “Sisi approved the degree in his capacity as commander-in-chief of the Egyptian armed forces.”
Libyan media reports have previously revealed that Saddam Haftar, the son of the commander-in-chief of the Libyan Armed Forces Khalifa Haftar, was hosted in a military training course in Egypt, sponsored by the Egyptian army.
Libyan and foreign circles are nominating Saddam Haftar to be his father’s successor and possibly his candidate for the next presidency.
