The Egyptian handball team qualified for the semi-finals of the All-Africa Games, after defeating Nigeria in its third match in the tournament to be held in Ghana.
Egypt started their campaign in the tournament with a big win over Mali 49-16, followed by another victory over Togo 52-22.
The Pharaohs concluded the group stage with a full score, as the first half ended with Egypt leading 15-10, and the match ended with a 27-24 victory over Nigeria.
The match witnessed the injury of Egyptian player Hisham Salah, without revealing the details of the injury.
The tournament runs from March 8 to 23, and the Egyptian team seeks to continue its march towards winning the African title.
Egypt currently leads the results of the All-Africa Games with 144 medals in various games participating in the tournament.
