Egypt’s junior team, born in 2008, defeated Libya 2-1 in a match held in the second round of the North African tournament held in Algeria.
Egypt’s first match of the tournament ended in a positive 1-1 draw with Tunisia, making victory in this round even more important to ensure progress in the tournament.
Each team participates in the tournament with four matches, and this tournament includes teams born in 2007, an older age group than the Egyptian team, demonstrating the challenge faced by young players.
The delegation of the Egyptian junior team in Algeria is headed by a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Ihab Al-Komi, and the team underwent comprehensive medical examinations such as analyzes, sound waves on the heart, an electrocardiogram and chest x-rays, to ensure the health of all players before traveling.
