The Oman Football Association has informed Croatian national team coach Branko Ivankovic that he does not want to renew his contract, following the disappointing exit from the group stage of the Asian Cup currently being held in Qatar.
Oman failed to reach the knockout stages after falling into the trap of drawing 1-1 against Kyrgyzstan in the final third round of Group F competitions, to occupy third place with only two points from two draws and a loss. The federation said in a statement on the X platform that the Oman Football Association informed the Croatian coach of his unwillingness to renew with him, at the end of the national team’s journey in the Asian Cup in 2023.
