The Libyan judiciary’s decision to execute the famous Libyan TikToker known as “Izzo Al-Zigra” on charges of premeditated murder sparked widespread controversy among social media users in the country.
TikToker “Izzo Al-Zigra” was arrested when he was trying to escape outside the country illegally and was imprisoned on charges of premeditated murder.
He later confessed to killing a person about two years ago, as a result of a weapons clash, because he insulted his mother several times, one of which was in a live broadcast on social media.
The death sentence received significant interaction among social media users, including supporters and opponents of the ruling, and TikToker friends launched a campaign to demand that the victim’s family pardon him.
