The great Egyptian artist Salah Al-Saadany died on Friday at the age of 81.

The head of the Actors Syndicate in Egypt, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, announced the death of the artist Al-Saadani, through a post published on his personal account on the site “Instagram” expressing his condolences.

Salah Al-Saadani was born on October 23, 1943, in Menoufia Governorate, and grew up in a rural family, and also received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, and his intense love for art was the reason behind his entry into the artistic field.

Al-Saadani’s artistic journey began in cooperation with his colleague, the artist Adel Imam, at the university theater, and expanded to include work in the fields of film, television, and theater.

The role of Mayor Suleiman Ghanem in the series “Layali Al-Helmiya” is one of his most famous roles ever, as he co-starred Yahya Al-Fakharany and Safia Al-Omari, in addition to his role in the series “Arabesque”.

Over the course of his career, Salah Al-Saadani has presented more than 200 works of art, and his first work was the series “Al-Departure” in 1960.

His artistic works varied between series, films, and plays, the most recent of which was the series “Minors”, which was produced in 2013.
