Social media sites in Morocco were shaken by the news of the death of a young Moroccan woman from the city of Beni Mellal, who was famous for her activity on the TikTok platform.
Activists widely circulated the news of the death of TikToker “Malak Khadija,” known as “Malak Luca,” whose body was found inside a villa owned by one of the city’s wealthy people, who had previously been a well-known politician and considered a notable.
Sources reported that the victim was invited to an evening hosted by the billionaire known for his palace, which ended with her death for reasons that are still mysterious.
The activists considered that she was with a group known for attending private parties and accused her of “practicing corruption” based on the videos she was filming and publishing on the TikTok platform.
Some activists suggested that the death was caused by the young woman taking an overdose of drugs, while her mother denied this news in statements to local websites, stressing that it was just baseless rumors.
Her mother stated that she found her daughter lying in the hands of two other girls, who assured her that she was still alive at a time when the young woman had already died.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the King’s Attorney decided to place the former politician and parliamentarian and two girls under house arrest in Beni Mellal’s security jurisdiction, in order to hear from them the circumstances of the girl’s death.
The King’s Attorney at Beni Mellal Primary School gave instructions to the judicial police in the Beni Mellal security state to deepen research into this case.
