Eighteen players from the Egyptian national team suffered various injuries, complicating the team’s preparations for the training camp scheduled to be held in June in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
A statement issued by the team’s technical staff confirmed a request from the team doctor about the condition of each injured player and the expectations of their return to play, in order to update the team’s list for the upcoming qualifiers against Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea.
The list of injured players includes prominent names such as Mohamed El Shenawy and Ahmed Fattouh, in addition to Mohamed Abu Jabal and Trezeguet, and these injuries leave the coaching staff in a difficult position to prepare a strong replacement that keeps the team competitive in the upcoming crucial matches.
