Dutch heiress Katarina Amalia has spent more than a year in Spain after security services warned she was threatened by a drug mafia led by a Moroccan who is imprisoned for life in the Netherlands.

According to the local newspaper “De Telegraaf”, the princess was threatened by the drug mafia, led by prisoner Radwan Taghi, known and his inner circle as “Angels of Death”, who belongs to the Moroccan Mafia criminal .

Born in 1977 in the Moroccan city of Tetouan, Taghi “drug baron” and holds Dutch citizenship is one of the country’s most dangerous criminals and has been accused of involvement in numerous attacks, murders, and kidnappings, including planning to assassinate Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

In September 2022, Amalia began studying at the University of Amsterdam, moving to shared housing with other students while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in politics, psychology, law, and economics, and shortly thereafter the royal family said she was forced to leave the dormitory, citing fears for her safety.

Her mother said at the time that she returned to the royal palace in The Hague and left the heavily guarded residence only to attend classes, and Queen Máxima added: “The princess cannot live in Amsterdam, and she cannot really get out of the palace,” explaining that her exit “has serious consequences for her life.”
