Israeli media announced that the cost of intercepting the Iranian attack last night is close to one billion dollars, noting that all fighter jets were in the air for fear of bombing them at their bases.

On the other hand, the Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, stated: “Our missiles and drones managed to penetrate Israeli air defenses.”

Salami emphasized that the operation was precise and that the missiles and drones reached their targets accurately, noting that they hit the sites that were launching attacks on the Iranian consulate in Syria.

In this context, Iranian Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri confirmed that the attack led to the destruction of two important Israeli military sites, namely the Israeli intelligence headquarters in Mount Hermon and the “Novatem” base, from which Israeli planes were launched.

Bagheri warned Israel against responding to yesterday’s attack, noting that the attack could have been expanded but that the attack was limited to certain targets in the occupied territories.

In Israel, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called on Sunday, through a post on his page on the “X” platform, to deal a crushing blow to Iran immediately, while the Israeli authorities announced the opening of their airspace at dawn today after the end of the Iranian attack.

Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan also announced the reopening of their airspace after hours of closure over the Iranian strike on Israel.

For its part, Washington stressed through its Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that it does not seek conflict with Iran, indicating that it is determined to defend its forces and support the defense of Israel.

Austin revealed that US forces intercepted “dozens of missiles and drones launched from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen towards Israel.”

Iran’s Tasnim news agency, citing its sources, reported that the attack used hundreds of drones and a large number of missiles of various types, launched from Yemen, southern Lebanon, and Iraq.

It is noteworthy that the Iranian operation against Israel lasted about 5 hours, during which the Revolutionary Guards launched 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles and 110 surface-to-surface missiles, according to media sources.
