The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, met in his office at the headquarters of the General Command of the Libyan National Army in Benghazi, with a delegation of sheikhs from the Libyan region of Al-Batnan, and discussed with them the issue of maintaining security and stability in the region.
The Facebook page of the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces wrote: “The attendees affirmed their pride and appreciation for the position of the Commander-in-Chief, and for the important role played by the Libyan Arab Armed Forces in the eastern region and maintaining security and stability throughout the region.”
In turn, Haftar expressed his full appreciation for the role of the tribes of the Batnan region in their continuous support for the armed forces during their war and their struggle to maintain the stability and security of Libya, stressing at the same time the need to work and pay attention to the Batnan region and provide the best services to citizens.
