Chadian President Mohamed Idriss Deby announced the appointment of Alamey Halena as prime minister, following the resignation of Prime Minister Succès Masra over the recent presidential election.
Lama Halena used to take over the general administration of the State Protocol Department and will now face the challenge of forming his government in record time.
It is noteworthy that Masra won second place in the presidential elections held on the sixth of May, which led to Deby’s victory with 61% of the votes, according to the final results, while Masra filed an appeal against the results to the Constitutional Council, and there are accusations of fraud and demands to cancel the election results by Masra and his party.
