Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune signed the budget law for 2024 at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic in the presence of senior state officials.

The new budget law does not include new taxes in exchange for significant financial allocations to increase wages promised by the president Tebboune, as well as financing new housing projects.
The 2024 budget is the largest in Algeria’s history, with expenditure allocations reaching $110 billion, an increase of $10 billion over the 2023 budget, which was also described at the time as a record.

On the other hand, budget revenues next year will reach $67.7 billion and between 2025 and 2026 it is expected to reach an average increase of about 4.2 percent or $70.9 billion and $73.5 billion, respectively.

As for petroleum revenues, it will decrease by 8.9 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, reaching $26 billion in 2024, then $26.2 billion in 2025 and $26.5 billion in 2026.
