Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered his condolences to journalist and Al-Jazeera correspondent Wael Dahdouh and his family following the death of his eldest son, journalist Hamza, in Israeli shelling in Gaza.
The Algerian presidency said that President Tebboune received with more sorrow and sadness, the news of the assassination of journalist Hamza Wael Dahdouh, shot by “Zionist treachery.”
It added in a statement on Monday that “the targeting is deliberate against media crews performing their role, and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the right to protection it confers.”
“As the president condoles his father, Wael al-Dahdouh and his family, he condoles all the families of the journalists who died in this ongoing brutal aggression on Gaza.”
She concluded: “Their memory will remain immortal, and a stain that haunts Israel, at all times and places, witnessing the muzzling of the voices of freedom and obliterating the reality of Israeli crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
