Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Saturday the launch of the World Youth Festival in Russia’s Sirius federal region, which includes educational, cultural, scientific and sports events.
Putin expressed confidence that the participants of the World Youth Festival 2024 will receive positive impressions and feelings and return home full of love for Russia.
The festival includes dialogue and training sessions, performances, and concerts, and will take place on the grounds of the Olympic Park located in the Sirius Federal District of Sochi on the Black Sea coast.
In a video message to festival participants, Putin said: “I am sure that at this festival you will receive a huge load of positive impressions and return to your homeland with love for Russia.”
It is noteworthy that 20,000 people participate in the World Youth Festival in Sirius, including 10,000 Russians, and 10,000 foreigners, from 188 countries in the world.
Over the seven days of the festival, 800 events will be held with the participation of 1,500 activists, 500 athletes, many winners of the Olympic Games and World Championships, 2,500 visual artists, designers, and craftsmen, and 3,000 film and theater artists.
