Sudanese media sources revealed the graduation of a new batch of the Rapid Support Forces in Saudi Arabia, prompting protests from the Sudanese authorities.
The Sudanese newspaper “Al-Ahdath” reported that the batch included a variety of military specialties including special forces, artillery, snipers, and pilots, in addition to specialists in medical aid.
The graduation ceremony was held in Saudi Arabia, where these forces were prepared to join combat operations in various parts of Sudan, according to reports by the Sudanese newspaper “Al-Ahdath”.
Khartoum expressed its strong dissatisfaction with the move, considering it an escalation that threatens stability in the region, and official sources said that the batch was originally intended to participate in conflicts in the Jazira region, and that the route for sending it passes through Ethiopia or South Sudan.
Videos circulated of “Rapid Support forces” (RSF) members dancing after graduation.

The negotiations began on May 6, 2023, less than a month after the outbreak of the conflict and were called the Jeddah negotiations after hosting them in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, but they did not reach any significant results in light of the ongoing conflict.
