On Monday, Telecom Egypt announced a new partnership with “Nokia” to provide data services using fifth generation (5G) technology in Egypt.

This agreement aims to bring about a qualitative shift in the field of communications in the country, by providing fifth generation technology that will provide higher speeds, greater capacities, and better quality of data services.

Nokia will provide the integrated devices necessary to provide fifth generation services, which is expected to provide an exceptional experience for Telecom Egypt customers.

These services will include installation, integration, and raising the efficiency of the network, in addition to providing a range of technical support services.

The fifth-generation service will be launched later this year and will include major cities in Egypt such as Giza, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria.

It is noteworthy that Telecom Egypt obtained, earlier this year, a license to provide fifth generation mobile phone services in Egypt for a period of 15 years.
