Missile strikes targeted the US base in the al-Omar oil field, east of Deir Ezzor, in Syria.
Al-Mayadeen TV quoted a source as saying that the targeting came “in response to the US aggression that targeted a truck at the Al-Qaim-Albu Kamal crossing, on the border with Iraq.”
The source also explained that the response to the attack was with 30 missiles, which directly targeted the US base, and direct hits were achieved. He added that the missile shelling on the base was carried out from inside Syrian territory.
A car inside Syria was hit by an unknown aerial bombardment earlier at the al-Qaim-al-Bukamal border, without causing casualties.
