The Republic of Congo will host the African Union High-Level Panel on Libya in Brazzaville on Monday (February 5th), the mini-summit that precedes arrangements for a national reconciliation conference in Sirte in two months’ time.

The meeting is a mini-summit ahead of arrangements for a national reconciliation conference to be held in Sirte in early April. The Algerian government announced participation in the meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Nadhir al-Arabaoui, who will represent the country’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The Tunisian Foreign Ministry also said that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Nabil Ammar, will head the Tunisian delegation participating in the delegation.

The meeting will be attended by the leaders of Libya’s neighboring countries, or their representatives, and the delegations of a number of member states of the African Commission on Libya, namely Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Niger, Sudan, Mauritania, South Africa, Congo, Ethiopia, and Uganda.
