أعربت سلطنة عُمان، عن أسفها لاستخدام الإدارة الأمريكية حق النقض (الفيتو) في مجلس الأمن أمام مشروع القرار الداعي إلى وقف إطلاق النار وإنقاذ الوضع الإنساني في قطاع غزة.
Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “the use of the veto at the Security Council is a shameful insult to humanitarian norms,” expressing deep regret that the US “should sacrifice the lives of innocent civilians for the cause of Zionism.”
The United States vetoed a United Nations resolution Friday backed by almost all other Security Council members and dozens of other nations demanding an immediate humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza. Supporters called it a terrible day and warned of more civilian deaths and destruction as the war goes into its third month.
