Rapid Support Forces (RSF) confirmed their commitment to the presence of their commander, Mohamed Hamdan ‘Hemedti’ Dagalo for a proposed meeting with the Sudanese army commander, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.

A statement by the Rapid Support Forces on Thursday, December 14, denied what was reported on social media, that the Second Commander of Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, is the one who will meet the Sudanese army commander, considering this “an attempt to cover up the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in which it disavowed the commitments of IGAD’s summit.

The “Rapid Support” had announced that its commander, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “agreed to the principle of meeting with Al-Burhan only if he comes to the proposed meeting in his capacity as Commander of the Army, and not as Head of the Sovereignty Council.”
