Sudan’s Foreign Ministry conditioned a ceasefire and the start of a comprehensive peace process with the RSF on its commitment to implementing the Jeddah Declaration, including withdrawing from cities, and evacuating Gezira state.
The Sudanese Foreign Ministry sharply criticized the African tour by Rapid Support Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, calling it a “false propaganda campaign”.
The Foreign Ministry said in a press statement that Hemedti’s tour was “false propaganda to try to remarket the leadership of the terrorist militia.”
The Foreign Ministry held the rapid support responsible for violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law on the continent since the genocide in Rwanda.
The Foreign Ministry considered that “Hemedti’s announcement of his readiness to establish a ceasefire through the (Addis Ababa) Declaration with the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces – (Taqaddum), came with a Sudanese political group that originally supports him.”
The Foreign Ministry, on behalf of the government, renewed the commitment to achieving peace, as confirmed by the President of the Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, in the Jubait region in eastern Sudan last Saturday, during which he rejected any room for reconciliation or agreement with the Rapid Support, categorically that the army’s dealings will be with them in the field, and they will fight until the enemy is destroyed and finished, or finishes them, according to him.
