Sudan submitted an official letter on Thursday containing a complaint against the United Arab Emirates to the Security Council over its support for the Rapid Support Forces in the war in the country since mid-April last year.

According to local newspaper Al-Ahdath, Sudan demanded that the UAE make reparation and compensation for the losses caused by the RSF attacks.

The text of the letter stated that the UAE’s explicit support for the Rapid Support Forces led to the prolongation of the war in Sudan, and the support was represented in planning, incitement, and direct support, in addition to diplomatic, media, propaganda and logistical support.

The letter called on the Security Council to take a number of measures to compel the UAE to immediately refrain from providing support, sponsorship, and support to the RSF.
