Russian special teams have freed five hostages from criminals in a high-profile operation in the Central African Republic.

According to Lengo Songo, the special operation resulted in the liberation of five hostages, two men and three women.

According to reports, the hostages were linked to a non-profit humanitarian organization, and the main demand of the kidnappers was to pay a ransom for their release.

Russian special teams were able to move quickly and effectively, freeing the hostages from the kidnappers.

One of the abducted women was pregnant, had an abortion due to threats made by the kidnappers, and thanks to the intervention of Russian teams, the woman received prompt medical attention after her release, and the perpetrators were punished according to local laws.

It is worth noting that the head of the humanitarian organization went to great lengths in negotiating the payment of a ransom of 4 million CFA francs, and the payment of ransom to terrorists is an incentive for more kidnappings in the future.

According to the laws of the Central African Republic, anyone willing to pay ransom to terrorists is held accountable and, if a foreigner, deported.
