The Spanish Civil Guard, in cooperation with the Moroccan General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, dismantled a terrorist cell active in a number of Spanish cities, including Madrid, Malaga, Cornilla and Melilla.

The joint security coordination between the two countries also witnessed exchanges of visits between security officials in Spain and Morocco, including the recent visit of the Director General of the Spanish National Police to Morocco last May to discuss ways to strengthen these relations.
