Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Somalia’s President, issued a new statement in which he asserted that his country enjoys a large geographical share in the Red Sea, and that it will not concede any land to another country.

The president posted the statement on his account on “X” platform, saying: “The Red Sea is a fundamental part of the global trade, security, and both present and future opportunities. Somalia is privileged to have a significant geographical stake in it. We will not allow any portion of this territory to be seized by another state, including Ethiopia.”

“Somaliland” criticizes Egypt and advises it to direct its efforts towards Sudan, Libya, and Gaza.
