A portion of a classroom roof collapsed at an elementary school in the municipality of Butlilis, Oran Province, in Algeria, resulting in injuries to six students with varying degrees of severity.

The Prosecutor’s Office at the Saniya Court in Oran Province has launched an investigation to determine the causes of the incident, especially after it resulted in serious injuries to the students.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with users demanding accountability for those responsible for maintenance and oversight of infrastructure. Calls were made for a comprehensive review of all old and new buildings to ensure the safety of the public.
