Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak revealed the signing of 24 agreements worth 60 billion rubles (about 670 million dollars) on the first day of the Caucasus Investment Forum.

In an interview with the Russian “TASS” agency conducted on Monday on the sidelines of the forum’s activities, Novak said that representatives from 50 countries are participating in the forum, and more than 4,000 participants have registered in the forum.

The agreements focused on developing tourism, transport and logistics infrastructure in the North Caucasus regions, according to Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Economic Forum.

The forum, which will be held in the Chechen capital Grozny from July 15 to 17, hosts more than 60 events aimed at supporting the development of the North Caucasus federal regions, as the event focuses on enhancing investment attractiveness and accelerating economic and social development in the region

The events cover multiple themes, including entrepreneurship development, the agricultural industrial complex, transportation infrastructure, industry, energy, the banking sector, international cooperation, and health care.

The main topic of discussion at the forum will be the development of investment potential in the Chechen Republic and the Caucasus region in general.
