Malian Foreign Minister, Abdoulaye Diop, and his Rwandan counterpart, Vincent Biruta, signed 18 cooperation agreements covering priority areas for the two countries.

The Grand Joint Committee for Cooperation between Rwanda and Mali was held in Kigali, co-chaired by Ministers Abdoulaye Diop and Vincent Biruta.

The Malian Foreign Minister stressed that expanding areas of cooperation will raise the economic and trade relations between the two countries to the level of their excellent political and diplomatic relations.

Diop noted that there is a convergence of views between Mali and Rwanda on fundamental issues related to peace, security, development and sovereignty.
